I took some photographs this weekend, but there were many I just couldn't get.
Lemon cake with syllabub and blueberries, made for girlfriends on Friday night. Too delicious. Owp.
A selection of things I managed to restrain myself from buying at the Lakeland Limited shop in Windermere. But oh. oh.
A friend's garden, filled with the children my children grew up with, the friends with whom I've watched them grow, and laughter.
How very happy I was this weekend. Impossible to photograph.
...and yet you photographed wild garlic, the ingredient du jour.
ReplyDeletea very beautiful post which includes of course the lovely things you did photograph and share!
ReplyDeletesounds like a wonderfully happy weekend, I hope the photos you did take will keep those happy moments flooding back xxx
ReplyDeleteSigh. Gorgeous. I have nothing more to add.
ReplyDeleteReading that made me go all goosepimpley even though it is really hot outside.
ReplyDeleteOooh, lovely. England is just as I imagined it, right down to the sheep.
ReplyDeleteThese bright blue skies and the vast land of greenery make me so happy. That is beautiful no doubt.
ReplyDeleteI am glad for you. Sunny days to remember and make you glad on gloomy mornings.
ReplyDeleteOh -- all so nice, the actual photographs and the ones not take. (And I really love those cake tins, too. Hmmm.)
ReplyDeleteOh we have yet to take the boys to the lakes, one day - hmmm
ReplyDeleteOooooooh, Lakeland......
ReplyDeleteI just love this post.
ReplyDeleteI can't decide if I am all teary because I am happy for you or because you are KILLING ME with those gorgeous Lake District scenes. Dammit.
ReplyDeleteIs that where you, like, live?
ReplyDeleteSigh.
So gorgeous.
Photos of beautiful, bucolic English scenes should not also include talk of lemon cake with syllabub and blueberries. Too decadent. Too rich. I feel sick.
