Shiny shiny

As we leave the Bathroom Zone, I'd like to show off the shininess of my taps. See, you can see my face in them.

This lasted at least an hour.

  1. Hahaha! That is CLASSIC.

Mine will never, ever look like that. Even if the President and the Queen announce that they are coming to call simultaneously. And it's not just the faucet part; it's that horrible bit where the fixture meets the porcelain, where there's always some kind of scary grunge...

I fear I've revealed too much.

  2. There's a song that starts with the words "shiney shiney" and reading your words made it pop into my head. But it's not about taps. The next bit of the line involves boots. I'll leave the rest to your imagination!

  3. OK, admit it, you replaced the tap with a new one, didn't you?

Oddly enough the song that popped into my head was not the classic Julia refers to but a far naffer 80s number by Haysi Fantayzee, I do believe. I hasten to add I was never a fan and I am quite horrified that is lodged in my brain.

  4. If you'd like more taps to practice your new shining skills on, please feel free to nip round to my bathroom and polish away!!!

  5. Oops, we were gone and I missed the bathroom zone. Shucks! ;) Your faucets look most impressive! I was going to focus on the master bedroom today, but painted instead and didn't even make the bed. I think I'm falling off the Fly Lady wagon. Maybe I need an intervention... :) Silke

  6. At least you preserved it's shinyness for posterity.

  7. Three kids with bad toothpaste spitting skills makes cleaning taps redundant!

  11. I strongly suspect that photo was taken in a bathroom showroom.

  12. Hahaha, that's so true. And when I 'shine the sink' it usually lasts all of 2 minutes before someone puts something dirty in it. The shiny prettiness does not deter anyone around here from clutting it up with dirty dishes.

  13. Housework is like painting the Forth Bridge - that is why I don't bother. Why clean something once a week when it looks the same the next day as it would have if you had left it a month?

We all have great immunity to germs now in our house...

  14. Pretty! I love your faucet and all of its shininess. My faucet is NEVER that shiny.
