My new thing for today is... patience

The Eldest Latte is going into hospital for minor surgery.

I am packing a bag. It has Literature in it, and an Elmore Leonard book in case I don't get a lot of sleep and I can't cope with the Literature.

It also has - oh help me - a copy of High School Musical - The Novel!

I imagine that this final book is the one I will be reading most from. Aloud.

Being a parent is a punishing job.

    Crossed fingers for the Eldest Miss Latte.

    And for Mrs Cappucino? No sympathy - you are conversing with ME - survivor of repeat performances too many and awful to mention. In fact the reason why we stopped after MissM was because I realised I could not read The Magic Faraway Tree again. Ever.

    Hope it goes OK Capp.

    My 'I never want to read it again' book is Dogger. I know it word for word 10 years on and it still brings a lump to my throat when Dogger gets found < sob >.
