I had a post. And then I lost it.

Oh, I had lots to say about our latest trip. Lots and lots.

Things to say about taking time, about losing and finding perspective.

Lots to say about the comfort of wonderful people, and the amazing lengths to which they are willing to go.

Thoughts about the perils of being hemmed in by nothing other than one's own (unfounded) anxieties.

And thoughts about how on earth to escape them.

Big things, then. Complicated, largely inexpressible things. Ones that didn't fit into a blog post - at least not one that anyone would want to read.

Things that probably need a few nights' sleep to see more clearly.

  1. If you find the answer to these problems please let me know - I have slept on them quite a few nights but am no nearer finding a solution . . .

  6. I will be waiting for the full scoop (and trying not to tap my toe too loudly). Looks like an idyllic place (except for Creepy Cork Man).

  8. Cork man looks awfully a lot like me.
Perfect timing, this post. Yesterday I was hit cold and hard by an anonymous letter which sprang a horrible thing on me (and my family).
    What to do next?
I confide on my beloved blog friends to find the strength to ignore, stand up, hold my head high and just keep on going.

  10. I wondered where you were, I hope you enjoyed it there and that the anxieties depart pronto. I do know what you mean, I have been worrying all week about something that I kept putting off, now I've done something about it but there will be no outcome for over a week so I shall continue to worry away at it.

  11. It's a perfect post just the way it is. It makes readers ponder, as it should. A verb we should take more advantage of, don't you think?
