So this is what we did with Saturday

To the mum whose daughter bought Littlest a baking set for her 5th birthday, thank you.

I mean it. Thanks a bunch.

(Please note the half eaten apple. Please.)

So, any of you fancy joining us for a snack? Maybe a coffee?

What's that? No? You're feeling a bit queasy?

But wait. How rude of me. To offer you something that isn't even finished. You knew something was missing, didn't you?

Of course. Chocolate sprinkles.

  5. My Small Fry got a sew-your-own-rag-doll set for Christmas. I hate it.

    Hate It.

    HATE It.

A baking kit would have been okay, but our oven is STILL broken. :)

  6. Well, it sounds like a good way to not have to eat any yourself - maybe you could sell it as a new dieting strategy. You'll make a fortune!

  11. Children and bake sets make a frightening combination.

That last photo looks like ants have swarmed the plate.

  13. Alarmed by what looks like mayonaise and anchovy topping?! Thanks for the invite but I think I'd need to bring my own cake...

  14. Having eaten my fair share of child baked goodies, these actually look pretty good. They have the added flavor of little smiles, smooth hands, little finger nails, furrowed brows, and high hopes.

  15. At least it's not pink icing and there are none of those silver ball things that break your teeth.

For the sake of my sanity I now occasionally have to indulge in early morning stealth baking.

Otherwise my daughter and I have, shall we say, "artistic differences".
